Stop Stressing About Your Weight

STOP stressing about your weight , in fact stop thinking about it all together. Let's just relax, really let it all out, feel your body go soft, just breathe and relax, focus your mind and control your thoughts, allow the loudest thought to diminish, think " I feel calm" then just think calm..... Was anyone thinking about their weight? Probably not. When you relax in your own skin, you empower yourself. There is one philosophy that says " What You Feed Grows" and that is extremely accurate! When we place our attention (energy) on something like our weight and we are always worried about it, and telling ourselves how fat we are, our attention has become the problem, not our weight. When we continuously send a negative message we will continue to manifest negativity. The learned skill of thought control changes the fundamental belief you have over how your body works. The mind is everything! Positive thoughts will manifest a positive outcome. The first step is discovering your motivation for weight reduction. (please DO NOT use the word loss or lose look up the definitions of these words in a dictionary and understand that the subconscious mind responds literally and without analysis) Look into yourself deeply and without judgment and find your truth for weight reduction, it may be health or appearance or simple vanity, whatever it is, embrace it. Start to look at your body lovingly and with respect, after all it does possess cellular memory and intelligence. Next we must start to lay the foundation of the desired change. Words have power so planting the most positive life affirming seeds is imperative. Next practice a daily mantra or affirmation, remember what you feed grows, so your mantra should be calculated. Be aware of any inner struggle and move towards balance, this becomes easier each and ever time you do it, in no time at all a positive relationship with your body develops, you will no longer want to hurt yourself with to much or to little food, you will become aware of when you are over taxing the digestion system, or depriving yourself of vital nutrients, you will intrinsically nourish yourself in the most respectful way. The way to manage your weight starts with the mind, this is when a Hypnotherapist is most needed to begin the process of change.

This weeks comments and emails on hypnotherapy have been great, I would like to go a little deeper into the benefits of hypnotherapy on the mind and body.

It all really starts with your core belief system, what you believe about yourself and your abilities to succeed, at really anything, but for the purpose of this blog I will stay with weight loss. There are some people who just don't think that they will ever be a healthy weight. These people have tried diet after diet with some good results, but living with constant attention on anything causes stress and stress raises your cortical hormone, and that makes you hold on to fat. We can can see that what you think and stress about can work against you in getting and keeping a healthy weight. With hypnotherapy your therapist will guide you into a state of very deep relaxation, during this process we speak directly to the subconscious mind which has become open and receptive to new beliefs and ideas. When we bypass the conscious critical mind there are no objections to creating our desired self, your true you is given the opportunity to take root and flourish. It really can be an empowering experience most people are happy to rid themselves of limiting and often harmful thoughts and replace them with their new design of how they want to be.

Stress and anxiety are so common today it makes me stop and think. What is everyone really worried about. I thought I would ask around, well not surprising at all was the number one answer, money. Money, really? Why? There are so many other things that seem to me to be far more important. Is no one stressed out about their health, or family or anything that breathes? I'm sorry but I just think that stress and anxiety over money is fruitless, before anyone gets to excited I do think in the appropriate situation some worry is warranted, but usually taxing the bodies balance is far more costly then figuring out a new budget, the vast majority of people I spoke with stressed about paying the mortgage. If this is the case for you this is what I recommend. Stop, take a few easy and long belly breathes and evaluate your situation, ask yourself these questions.

Is my current situation dire ? ( have you missed or been late on a payment ) if you answered no, then your situation is not dire. Breathe

What are my option's ( call your bank or broker and learn the truth of your situation) also breathe.

Ask yourself what is the worse thing that can happen? If the worse thing is not death, guess what, you can handle it.

Now take small steps in the direction that you want to move in. Again just breath, be calm and self assured, if you need assistance start asking for help, you will be surprised how willing people are to help. Relax, your now in control of your situation.

Remember that your health and mental balance are priceless. Stress is costly!!

Fear and other F words

I have had many clients come to me because they feel anxious or they say how stressed out they are

feeling. They usually are not sleeping well and often they are on edge and just waiting to explode. I have an enormous amount of compassion for these people, because they are living in constant distress and they are truly hurting. How awful it must be to not have the necessary tools to free themselves.

It generally comes down to one common denominator, Fear. I would like to state that there are many instigators, but the reactions are predictable and easier then ever to remedy .For some people their reaction is to fight some have the flight reaction while others just freeze. Whatever your reaction is, know that you can take the reins back and retrain yourself to react differently, stronger and more in control of yourself. Hypnosis is the most powerful tool to have in your arsenal of emotional healing.

I received a number of personal e-mails regarding fear and stress and how people are dealing with the things in their lives, whether it be a new born baby keeping you up all night, or ever surmounting bills to be paid, and for some it was dreading going into work for a "petty jealous micro-managing boss." That was sort of the jist of things.

Before I give you instructions for self hypnosis I would like to say how very moved I was by such honest e-mails. And although the fearful and stressful situations are very different from each other the psychological and physiological reactions are the same. So for those of you who are new at this let me keep it nice and easy. Go to a quite comfortable spot and close your eyes, let's begin.

Breathe slowly and deeply into the abdomen, fill your belly with air, let it become round and soft.(most people try to fill their lungs, draw your breath deep in to the belly)

Focus the mind on a word or phrase," calm" or "I can handle this" should work for most people.Continue until your breath is rhythmic.

Now using your mind scan your body for any place holding tension and on the exhale ,release, just allow all the tension to relax and release from your body.(the mind and body can only heal when it is in a relaxed state.)

when you have reached a state of deep relaxation take a moment and really feel how good it is, know that at any time you have the ability to bring yourself back to this feeling.

The power of projection or the philosopher's stone was a term used by an alchemist to indicate the KEY ingredient necessary for transmutation or change.The idea was to dematerialize a baser metal and rematerializes it into gold. Hypnotherapy for Weight Loss

Well let me just start by saying I do not like the title of this post, however I felt I needed to get your attention, so with that said let me explain.

The mind does not like loss it does not enjoy loss because loss is a negative, so the subconscious mind only hears " weight" then all of a sudden some sort of food restriction and diet has been implemented and the poor mind sends the message of impending starvation, so naturally we move into self preservation mode and the mind tells the body slow down, conserve as much energy as possible. The result is quite easy to see, you stay fat.

Now I'm not discounting that with the right amount of determination and effort you won't lose weight by dieting, you can, but when you realize that you can't diet forever, or if you sustain some injury and can no longer keep up with an exercise program your body will take back what it thinks it lost. Fat, and so begins the process of putting the weight back on that so many people have experienced.

Now if you could communicate directly to the subconscious mind your true desire, you could then begin the process of reprogramming, teaching and training the mind to fulfill your new desired state, and the mind will comply, because it received the message in a positive life affirming way!

This is one of the many reasons why hypnosis and hypnotherapy have such a powerful and long lasting effect on weight management.
